Astral Abstractions was already sick as hell, yet this sounds even more insane. I can especially foresee myself listening to 'Order in the court of Chaos' dangerously often in the coming months.
As MJ points out, there's some fantastic nuance beneath the frenzied surface. Matten
Merci Déhà for the download code. Lots of bands use these ingredients – pretty female vocals over doomy guitars always sounds good, but usually that's where the ideas run out. That isn't the case here. Each song is packed with ideas and evolutions, genres and references it's boring to list but not at all to listen to. A pleasure to have been introduced to this. Luke
A blackened doom concept record about the very real problem of amphibian extinction, “Croak” is a punishing, essential listen. Bandcamp New & Notable Apr 23, 2022
Speaking of a piece of music as 'planned out' more often than not has a negative connotation. Not here though. Both Salqiu's and SaG's pieces have been crafted with meticulous care, like piecing together a 1500 parts puzzle picturing an impenetrable blackness - 666 seconds per song, two per artist, without a single second feeling like bloat or the ending coming prematurely? Casually showcasing songwriting prowess of the highest calibre: haunting, controlled and memorable chaos. Pure class. David Fischer
